After a lengthy car journey this morning to Southend due to a collision on the M25 I made it down to Essex Radio station and met a very pleasant gentlemen in the office who took me to the recording studio. This has been one of my first radio interviews not going live, so felt nice and relaxing!

The interview will be aired during their news bulletins once edited, so as soon as aired I will ensure to share with you all.

It was such a beautiful day today and I even managed to take a stroll along the seafront, whilst random seagulls would nose dive down in front of me picking up what looked like regurgitated chips!

My days have just got super busy but I am going to try each day to even just write a short update!

Had a fantastic meeting with the film producer and script writer so things are starting to progress in that direction which is super exciting and the Monster in Mykie will be the second book in The Monster Series, which is an on-going awareness campaign highlighting the experiences, trials and tribulations of cancer patients and survivors. The Monster In Mykie is available for pre-order from and will be available nationwide and online from 19 November 2018.

The Monster In Mykie tells the real life story of 12 year old Mykie Perkins and his battle to survive cancer. Told using his own words, the story chronicles the events following his diagnostic whilst on holiday with his family and all the way through his treatment and eventual remission. Readers will be blown away by the spirit and resilience of a young boy who has already faced more adversities than many of us ever hope to endure.

A special book launch will be hosted on Saturday 17 November in Central London. For more information and to RSVP please visit
